OREGON, Ohio - Bay Area Credit Union's Junior Achievement volunteers, Kris Downey and Val Strickland, presented certificates of achievement to four Coy Elementary School kindergarten classes. The Junior Achievement program uses story time and a follow-up activities to teach young children about their economic roles as individuals. "Working with the local schools is fulfilling," said Marketing Director and Junior Achievement Volunteer Kris Downey, "and kindergarteners are not only inquisitive, but loads of fun!" Junior Achievement collaborates with local businesses and educators to help bring the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential.
