COLUMBIA, Md. - Mike Beall, president/CEO of the Maryland & D.C. Credit Union Association was recently named Volunteer of the Year for his efforts in building a partnership between the association and The Association of British Credit Unions. Beall's work in building the partnership marks the first time the British credit union movement has had an international partnership with another league. Building partnerships between credit union groups around the world has long been important for the MDDCCUA leader. Before coming to the association in 2004 when it was known as the Maryland Credit Union League, Beall worked at the World Council of Credit Unions as manager of government affairs and partnerships where among his responsibilities he worked on developing partnerships between U.S. and international credit unions.
