WASHINGTON - Mountain America Credit Union continues to be the No.1 credit union SBA 7(a) lender in the country. The $1.5 billion CU approved 297 loans last year totaling more than $11 million, according to SBA data as of Sept. 30, 2005. Member Business Lending, LLC was launched by the CU and includes a mix of equity and non-equity owners. Rounding out the top 10 7(a) CU lenders are America First CU, Coastway CU, Telesis Community CU, BECU, Jordan FCU, Self-Help CU, Greylock FCU, Tooele FCU, and Citizens Community CU. There are now 273 credit unions participating in the 7(a) loan program.
