COON RAPIDS, Minn. - The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Minnesota (HCCM) has singled out Anoka Hennepin Credit Union (AHCU) Business Development Coordinator Karina Higareda, as one of the 25 most accomplished and inspiring Hispanic Leaders under 40 years of age in Minnesota. The 25 On The Rise program through HCCM is presented to individuals that give back to and are an inspiration to their community, show a high level of ethics and integrity, and are known to have high industry stature. "This was a difficult and detailed scoring process and all of the nominees were outstanding community and business role models" said HCCM President/CEO Val Vargas, President and CEO of HCCM. Recipients were not only recognized at a luncheon but are also featured in a special leadership edition of Vice Versa magazine. In the past three years, Higareda has helped the credit union partner with over 54 select employee groups to offer credit union services to their employees. "Much of Karina's business development success stems from her extensive involvement in local chambers and charities," said AHCU President/CEO Jeff Claussen. "We are excited HCCM recognizes Karina's efforts and that her expertise allows us to serve the Hispanic community."
