EUGENE, Ore. - For the second consecutive year Oregon Community Credit Union has been named one of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon by Oregon Business Magazine. The annual list recognizes companies for excellence in five categories: attraction of employees; retention and rewards; work environment; decision-making and trust; performance management; and career development and learning. Significant growth over the past year helped Oregon Community CU jump from the small-business category (less than 250 employees) in 2005 to the large-business category (more than 250 employees) in 2006. "We are very proud that our employees feel positive enough about their work environment to place us in such elite company for the second year in a row," said Oregon Community CU Senior Vice President Mark Herbert. "We believe strongly that there is a direct connection between the satisfaction level of our employees and our ability to provide exceptional service to our membership." The credit union's numerical ranking will be released in the March issue of Oregon Business Magazine.
