MECHANICSBURG, Pa.-The court has granted NCUA an extension to respond to the American Bankers Association lawsuit challenging a community charter the agency approved for Members 1st Federal Credit Union. The filing deadline in the Pennsylvania case was extended through Feb. 6 and a conference on the case is set for Feb. 16, according to CUNA. NCUA recently announced that it has placed a moratorium on the underserved areas it granted to America First Federal Credit Union in response to another suit filed the same day by the ABA.
