PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Teachers CU CEO Cliff Dias announced his plans to retire from the $2 billion credit union next May. Dias joined Portland Teachers in 1995 and was named CEO in 1997. He helped grow the credit union from $792 million when he joined, to over $2 billion today. Dias has certainly left his mark on the credit union. A few recent examples include leading a name change to OnPoint Community CU. The change coincides with a new 10-county community charter that mirrors the charter of Oregon Community CU. Dias led the charge to merge OnPoint with Oregon Community, but the merger never came to be. An executive search is currently underway for Dias' replacement.
