PINE BROOK, N.J. - CU National Mortgage and its parent companyUS Mortgage Corp., made their debut in NASCAR as sponsors thisyear. Mexico City native Jorge Goeters, who received internationalattention earlier this year when he captured the pole and led 24laps in the inaugural NASCAR Busch Series race in Mexico City,drove the CU National Mortgage Dodge for the NEXTEL Cup SIRIUSSatellite Radio at the Glen on Aug. 14. The race at New York'sWatkins Glen International marked Goeters' first appearance in theNEXTAL Cup event. Goeters drove the CU National Mortgage car thanksto a partnership between Red Cactus Racing and Arnold Motorsports.In the pairing of teams, Red Cactus Racing and Arnold Motorsportshave joined to field the NEXTEL Cup entry. The pairing allows CUNational Mortgage, Red Cactus Racing's sponsor, to enter the NEXTELCup Series with the combined experience of the two NASCAR teams.Beside Goeters driving the car for CU National Mortgage on Aug. 14,Kerry Earnhardt drove the No. 73 CU National Mortgage Chevrolet forRed Cactus Racing during the NASCAR Busch Series at Watkins Glentwo days earlier on Aug. 12.
