STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Thanks to Penn State Federal Credit Union (PSFCU), Penn State University undergraduates have more scholarship opportunities. The over $80 million credit union has pledged $50,000 to establish the Penn State Federal Credit Union Trustee Matching Scholarship. Launched in 2002, the University's Trustee Matching Scholarship program was created to raise $100 million in private support for new undergraduate scholarship endowments by June 30, 2007. As part of the program, the Board of Trustees agrees to match 5% of gifts with University funds. Currently some 2,500 Penn State undergraduates are benefiting from Trustee Matching Scholarships. PSFCU has previously supported the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon and recently signed a one-year underwriting agreement with campus radio station WPSU-FM.
