GLASTONBURY, Conn. – Open Solutions Inc.'s annual client conference attracted more than 1,000 executives from financial institutions across the United States and Canada, a record number for the provider of core processing and other integrated solutions. The attendance was a record for the company, which has added hundreds of clients in the past year through acquisitions, including the core processing business of Liberty FiTECH, RDS, Canada's Datawest and most recently the credit union business of CGI. The four-day conference was held in San Diego and also attracted 55 sponsors who took part in a vendor exposition. Company solutions such as the new Interaction Management Center were showcased and sessions also were held on other technology updates and business trends. The April 16-20 conference was preceded by a two-day conference for client bank and credit union CEOs. "The business intelligence, industry insights and regulatory watch sessions provided a great opportunity to learn more about industry trends and discuss practical business strategies and solutions," said Dawn L. Ruggles, president and CEO of $26 million VAC Federal Credit Union in Shreveport, La. OSI Chairman and CEO Louis Hernandez Jr. said, "Over the years, the client conference has grown with our offerings. Our product managers and business development teams are available to answer questions about our solutions and receive input that allows them to design new products and services and enhance existing solutions that provide better service and positively affect our clients' bottom line."
