WASHINGTON-CUNA President and CEO Dan Mica was again named to The Hill newspaper's roster of "the people who make K Street matter." This year is the second consecutive year Mica has been named one of the top lobbyists in Washington, according to the April 20 edition of the paper. The Hill is a semi-daily newspaper covering Capitol Hill. In revealing its list, the paper stated, "We strive to feature those names that never fail to arise when talk turns to a given issue. We also take into consideration those lobbyists who have enjoyed big legislative wins in the past year, or have high-profile business before the Congress this year." The Hill develops its list after talking with member of Congress, their aides and other lobbyists. Washington has more than 25,000 registered lobbyists. Others that made the list include the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Manufacturers, Recording Industry of America, American Insurance Association, and the Aerospace Industries, as well as the American Bankers Association's Ed Yingling and Dan Berger of America's Community Bankers.
