ALEXANDRIA, Va.-The next Partnering and Leadership Successes workshop is slated for April 28 in St. Louis, NCUA Board Member Debbie Matz announced last week. The workshop is free of charge for credit unions of all shapes and sizes. It is aimed at helping credit unions reach "New Markets, New Members, and New Business," as its title demonstrates. "Our Spring PALS workshop will help credit unions of all sizes capitalize on opportunities to build their loan portfolios and strengthen their bottom lines," Matz explained. "Panels of credit union leaders will share different approaches that have proven successful in serving markets where there is little competition from other insured financial institutions." Networking opportunities will be available during breakfast and lunch. The Missouri Credit Union League, CUNA, Illinois Credit Union System, Iowa Credit Union League, Kansas Credit Union Association, and the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions are co-hosting the event. Matz also reminded those interested that the Orlando PALS workshop for Feb. 8 still has a few open seats.
