SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - A number of business services heavyweights will be in attendance at this year's Member Business Lending Symposium here to weigh in on a range of pressing industry topics. The conference, sponsored by the California Credit Union League and Business Partners, LLC, marks its fifth year and will kick off on April 3 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Ariz. Grace Mayo, chairman and Jean Faenza, president/CEO of Business Partners, will welcome attendees at the April 4 session. Some of the topics on the agenda include conduit secondary markets and what factors can benefit CUs; underwriting 101; the progression of loan servicing from funding through member service to collections, monthly reporting, asset management and payoff. An executive panel of business lending experts will feature their take on hot topics in the industry and an interactive session of questions and answers from attendees. Alberto Alvarado, SBA district director, Los Angeles office and Robert Blaney, SBA district director, Arizona office, will also be in attendance to discuss how the agency can assist credit unions with member business lending.
