HARRISBURG, Pa. - The past year was a good one for eCU Technologies, as the technology CUSO of Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union doubled its client base while adding staff and new services. The three-year-old CUSO signed 35 credit unions in 2004, bringing the total client base to 72, and increased its full-time staff by five positions to a total of 20. Those included "well-experienced employees focused in IT, operations, sales and marketing," said Alan Brunner, eCU Technologies' COO. The CUSO also increased its 2004 revenues by 50% over the year before, and now provides solutions that include home banking, e-statements, bill payment, lending solutions, report generators and kiosk machines. "In 2004, we reached many significant milestones that turned into records thanks to our more than 70 valued clients," Brunner said. "One of the highlights of 2004 included the large increase in demand for our consulting services. To ensure that we continue to meet the demand for these services, we will definitely expand them in 2005." Plans this year also include adding online membership applications, a service bureau offering for the Symitar core system, a "skip-a-payment" service and institution-to-institution transfers. "Now that we've looked back, it's time to look forward," Brunner said. "Coming from a credit union technology background, we realize that credit unions need to meet the ever-changing environment of financial technology services to increase or maintain the relationship with their members."
