MADISON, Wis.-According to a recent survey, attending the CUES CEO Institute has resulted in career promotions for some 35% of graduates. The three-tiered leadership development program is held at several schools including The Steinberg Conference Center at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia; Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.; and Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va. Since its inception in 1995, a total of 234 credit union executives have completed CUES CEO Institute and more than 75% of participants surveyed described improvements in their ability to offer leadership and to think strategically. In addition, three-quarters of CEO Institute graduates acknowledged a significant impact on personal growth and job performance. Scenario planning and leadership were the topics most frequently cited as benefits by attendees. Those who complete the CEO Institute program and two post-segment projects are eligible to earn the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation.
