ALEXANDRIA, Va. - NCUA issued prohibition orders against threeindividuals last week. Former Roosevelt County Credit Union ManagerPatty Barnes agreed to an order prohibiting her from furtherparticipation in the operation of any federally insured financialinstitution without admitting or denying fault. Tammy Bramwell,former president of Metro East Credit Union in Cahokia, Ill.,pleaded guilty to mail fraud and commission of an offense while onrelease. She was sentenced to 37 months in jail, five yearssupervised probation, and ordered to pay $16,589 in restitution.Bramwell is prohibited from participating in the affairs of anyfederally insured financial institution. Former call centerrepresentative at The Golden One Credit Union Jennifer Mendezpleaded guilty to aiding and abetting unauthorized access toinformation contained in a financial record and aiding and abettingfinancial institution fraud. She was sentenced to one day in jailfor each count and five years supervised release. In addition,Mendez was ordered to pay restitution of $150,000 to the creditunion. She is prohibited from further participation in theoperation of any federally insured financial institution. Violationof a prohibition order is a felony punishable by imprisonment and afine of up to $1 million.
