DENTON, Texas - It is finally official - credit unions wear the white hats and Denton Area Teachers Credit Union can prove it. The $290 million credit union has been presented the Dallas Business Journal's White Stetson Hat award symbolizing "The Best Place to Work" in Dallas-Fort Worth. DATCU was chosen over 14 other finalists in the "Mid-sized Businesses" category. The "White Stetson Hat" is awarded based on criteria from a survey developed by Dallas Business Journal, Choice Staffing, Haynes and Boone L.L.P., People Solutions, and the Dallas Human Resource Management Association. The survey, which includes employer and employee responses, evaluated each company's business success, personal and professional development, culture, benefits, and leadership. "It is an honor to have received this award," said DATCU President Dale Kimble. "All of our employees are responsible for this recognition. Our senior management and board of directors strongly believe in providing the best benefits, pay, and training to ensure our employees are happy and successful."
