Michigan First Credit Union, Detroit, has announced that former board president Dr. Eloise Anderson has died. She began her service to the credit union in 1962 as a member of the Supervisory Committee and was an active member for more than 35 years. In 1966, Dr. Anderson was the first African American to be elected to the MFCU Board and held the position as board president for 19 years until her retirement in 1997. Upon her retirement, Anderson was appointed board member emeritus.
