Financial 21 Community Credit Union, San Diego, Calif., staffers have donated their time to help in the California Coastal Cleanup Day. Some 70 volunteers gathered over 3, 350 pounds of trash and 200 pounds of recyclables surrounding the 60 acre Mission Valley Preserve in San Diego. California Coastal Cleanup Day is part of a worldwide cleanup effort that brings over 100 nations together to cleanup the earth's waterways on the same day. Heritage Federal Credit Union, Newburgh, Ind., has launched a Youth Affinity Program to benefit the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation Extracurricular Fund. Heritage Federal made an initial $2,000 pledge and committed to contribute $5 for each new checking account and up to $100 per new loan opened from June 1 to August 1. A total of $14,238 was raised. Citadel Federal Credit Union, Thorndale, Pa., has presented two Kids' Club members with brand new bikes. The winners were 11-year-old Jessica Santos and 3-year-old Derek Ferstler. Citadel's Kids' Club members who deposited money into their account from July 1st to September 1st were entered in a drawing to win a brand new bike.
