The facilitywill encompass 9,928 square feet and will include larger memberservice areas, children's section, Cyber Caf, drive-up and ATMaccess, convenient parking, and additional space for credit unionoperations. Teachers Credit Union, South Bend, Ind., has brokenground on its first branch in Michigan. The Niles branch willcontain a complete member service center and offices for TCUInsurance, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TCU. Credit Union of NewJersey, Ewing, has broken ground on a new headquarters. The 20,000square-foot facility will house a state-of the art banking facilitywith four drive-thru lanes plus a drive-thru ATM, technologycenters, a children's play area and a community room, in additionto, the credit union administrative, operations and financialmanagement offices. The facility has also been designed to allowfor future expansion, if necessary. The building is slated forcompletion in the fall of 2004. Air Academy Federal Credit Union,Colorado Springs, Colo., has hosted a grand opening ceremony forits newly relocated branch. The new Castle Rock branch features avestibule ATM, account access via a lobby PC kiosk and offices forfinancial service and mortgage representatives. Three RiversFederal Credit Union, Fort Wayne, Ind., has broken ground on its13th facility. The Waynedale branch is expected to open in December2003 and add eight to 10 new jobs. The new building willinclude safe deposit boxes, drive-thru service, a java caf, ampleparking and convenient access. Point Loma Credit Union, San Diego,Calif., has opened its eleventh full service branch. The Carlsbadbranch will offer around-the-clock convenience with an on-site ATM,kids' play area, and cyber-station for online banking access.Greater Texas Federal Credit Union, Austin, has celebrated thegrand opening of its Bastrop branch. GTFCU now has 13 branchesconveniently located throughout the state of Texas in addition toseveral shared branches.
