SAN DIEGO – Place a call to financial institution consulting firm Counter Intelligence Associates and chances are Dorothy Twomey will help direct your call. This month, 82-year-old Twomey considered the "voice" of CIA, celebrates 20 years of service. Staff and guests marked the anniversary with a gala dinner at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Laguna Niguel. Twomey joined CIA on a part-time basis in 1983 when there were only two employees. Within weeks she began to work full-time and became the fundamental client contact for CIA. "Dorothy was often the inspiration for all of us to keep going," said CIA President Tom Glatt. "She has supported the company through two decades of growth and success. I don't know what we would do without her!" In honor of Twomey's two decades of service, CEO Diane Johnson presented her with a diamond and platinum anniversary ring. In addition, CommunityAmerica Credit Union, which owns CIA, provided a letter of congratulations and cash award from CEO Dennis Pierce. In addition to her full-time work at CIA, Twomey has been president of her VFW Auxiliary chapter for over a decade and in her spare time visits veterans in VA hospitals.
