California Credit Union League Coalition Against Hunger San Francisco Chapter, has recently been honored by the Apple Corps for its efforts to volunteer at the San Francisco Food Bank on a regular basis. The Marketing Association of Credit Unions, Walnut Creek, Calif., has named Educational Employees Credit Union Vice President Marketing Scott Ingram the winner of the MACQUEE Award. The award recognizes the best entry of all awards. Over 390 entries from 51 credit unions were submitted to this annual competition. Categories for entries included all aspects of marketing-from direct mail, newsletters and annual reports to logos and multi-media advertising. Fort Bliss Federal Credit Union, El Paso,Texas, President/CEO Kelly Cooke has been named the Christiaan Petrus Fox Citizen of the Quarter. Cooke has been the President/CEO of Fort Bliss FCU for the last six years, and was given the award for the credit union's continuous involvement with numerous Fort Bliss organizations, and for contributing to the success of several annual events. The quarterly awards are given to recognize outstanding citizens,community leaders and military supporters. Delaware Credit Union League, New Castle, has named Littleton Mitchell the 2002 Outstanding Credit Union Volunteer. Mitchell has been a volunteer with Delaware Alliance Federal Credit Union for the past 39 years. Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union, Fla., and CEO/President Dale Schumacher have been recognized by the Tampa Police Department as its 2003 Citizen/Business of the Year. Each year, the Tampa Police Department recognizes outstanding individuals and businesses that demonstrate a commitment to improving the community. Central Florida Educators' Federal Credit Union, Orlando, Fla. has presented the following employees the Distinguished Employee of the Month for the second quarter : Robert Pelfrey, Janice Steffy and Angela Roark. Individuals chosen as "Distinguished Employees of the Month" are cited for outstanding performance, teamwork and service to the credit union and its members. They are presented with a special award denoting the honor. Robins Federal Credit Union, Warner Robins, Ga., has named Valerie Drummond e-statement contest winner. Drummond was presented an MP3 Player. The contest was designed to encourage members to take advantage of this free service that allows them to receive their statements online via email. DuPont Community Credit Union, Waynesboro, Va., Vice President of Branch Operations Lorna Saunders has completed the Certified Credit Union Executive Program (CCUE). The CCUE designation is the hallmark of professional credit union achievement. This advanced program requires the completion of 10 courses with eight 8 in-depth examinations. Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, St. Paul, Minn., Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, Elizabeth Hayes has been named one of 25 Women Changemakers in the Twin Cities by The Business Journal. The 25 Women Changemakers award recognizes women who, through their leadership, have been instrumental in creating positive change in their business, industry or the Twin Cities business community.
