NACHA (The Electronic Payments Association) is a quasi-regulatory body in that it is not a government entity, but those using the Automated Clearing House Network follow its operating rules and business practices. NACHA represents over 12,000 financial institutions and 650 organizations. It establishes ACH and electronic payments rules concerning e-commerce, electronic bill payment and presentment, e-checks, electronic benefits transfer, and other areas.
