WESTBURY, N.Y.- Credit Union Times was recently notified that Ralph W. Hillman, CEO of Nassau County Federal Credit Union, died on May 19, 2003. Hillman had a long history of serving credit unions and began his credit union career at Navy Federal Credit Union working as the youngest branch manager in their history. Later on in his career after marketing data processing services to credit unions through the vendor side for two years with Users Inc., he came to NCFCU where he served as general manager from 1983 to 1988. He then left the New York area to serve as vice president/senior consultant with D. Hilton Associates, Inc. in Texas. He later he returned to New York and NCFCU in 1994. In addition, for the past two years Hillman served as Chairman of the Board of the New York State Shared Service Centers. He is survived by his wife, Donna, and his sons, Bradley and Robert. Currently Frank A. Cordano is serving as Acting CEO of the $738 million credit union. The New York State Shared Service Centers and the New York Credit Union Foundation have created a memorial fund to benefit Hillman's sons. Charitable contributions may be made payable to the New York Credit Union Foundation and mailed to Frank Kerbein, Executive Director, PO Box 15118, Albany, N.Y. 12212-5118. Please indicate clearly that your contribution is for the Ralph W. Hillman Memorial Fund.
