HOUSTON, Texas -PULSE EFT Association is set to launch its fourth annual Safety Awareness campaign during the month of June, which is ATM/POS Safety Awareness Month. As part of the campaign credit unions are encouraged to inspect all ATM installations and provide members ATM/Debit Card security tips. Tips include treating the card like cash by always keeping it in a safe place, Keeping personal identification codes secret; and not exposing the card's magnetic strip to magnetic objects. Other ATM Security tips, such as being aware of your surroundings and minimizing the time spent at the ATM when conducting a transaction, are also helpful for members.
