ARLINGTON, Va. - The legal battle between Digital Insight and FundsXpress is far from over. Austin based FundsXpress, a $12 million company, sued $95 million Digital Insight, based in Calabasas, California, for almost $80 million, claiming that one of its employees was also an employee of Digital Insight. The suit charged that the employee, Grifford Dunn, shared employers for two weeks and sent confidential FundsXpress information, via email, to a sales supervisor at Digital Insight. The information allegedly included sales information and but not source code for software products. The new lawsuit follows on the heels of another settlement, in April, which involved Dunn turning over to FundsXpress copies of the e-mails he had sent. The revelations in the released email may have triggered the second suit. The suit is tentatively supposed to go to trial in December 2003.
