SAN DIEGO, Calif. - In the midst of a stage-two energy shortage, Cabrillo Credit Union is helping out by turning the thermostat up and changing its dress code to shorts. The temporary dress code of shorts will revert back to standard business when the energy alert is lifted. "As a business, we want to do our part to conserve energy," said CCU President/ CEO Robin Lentz. "We are all too familiar with the rolling blackouts of the past and we want to help out. Besides our staff members enjoy dressing casually for a while." This isn't the first time the credit union has made special concessions for the energy crunch. Last year and in 2000, the credit union allowed its members to skip auto loan payments for the month of August in an effort to help offset soaring energy costs.
