<p>Saratoga's Community Federal Credit Union, N.Y., has officially re-opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring City of Saratoga Springs Mayor Kenneth Klotz and SCFCU CEO Charles Folensbee. Also on hand for the opening were Saratoga Chamber President Joseph Dalton, Saratoga Springs City School District Superintendent John MacFadden and League President/CEO William Mellin. Extensive renovations were done to the buildings exterior, creating a whole new fa?ade. Members will also find the interior has been redesigned to allow for more privacy when conducting their business. Additional new features include the installation of an ATM with 24-hour access and a night depository on the exterior of the building. CUNA Credit Union, Madison, Wis., has opened the first credit union branch in Waunakee. The new CUNA Credit Union branch will feature a bilingual (English and Spanish) non-surcharge automatic walk-up teller machine, open to members and well as non-members, 24 hours a day. CUNA Credit Union has 42,000 members and $210 million in assets. American First Credit Union, La Habra, Calif., has opened new branches in Placentia and Mission Viejo. Design/build firm Emick, Howard & Seibert, Inc designed the branches. Each branch was placed in a community retail location, with the Placentia branch comprising 1,185 square feet and Mission Viejo 1,300 square feet of space. These branches also offer new automated services for the members and a full range of financial services. The branch is based on the idea that it should create a cross-selling environment that is both comfortable, effective, and quick. 1st Credit Union, St. Joseph, Mo., has a new branch on the Belt Highway. Since 1989, 1st Credit Union has been housed in the St. Joseph post office and had to keep post office hours. The new location provides more flexibility. The new location offers more hours and more visibility. Over 200 people attended the ribbon cutting ceremony CSD Credit Union, Kansas City, Mo., has recently renovated its branch. The remodeling took about nine months to complete. The open lobby was converted to make offices for loan officers, and an ATM was added. Joplin Metro Credit Union, Mo., has celebrated the grand opening of its latest branch. Festivities included games, prizes, food and a fundraiser to benefit the Children's Miracle Network. The larger facility has the potential to include a drive thru and offers more parking. St. Luke's Hospital Employees Credit Union, Kansas City, Mo., has hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for its remodeled facility. To celebrate the new look, members were treated to free food courtesy of Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The remodeling adds outside street access, signs, and an awningto help attract members inside. Inside, there is 1500 additional square feet, including new office space, a lobby, and a boardroom. The credit union hopes to add an ATM soon. Educational Employees Credit Union, Bridgeton, Mo., has held a grand opening celebration for the new Warren County branch. Two local radio stations broadcast live from the grand opening site, and a clown entertained the kids. Visitors who brought a canned good or toy donation for the Agape Center, a local relief agency that provides food, toys, and clothes for the needy, had a chance to grab cash in the "money machine." In addition, a free personal computer was also given away to a lucky winner. SIU Credit Union, Carbondale, Ill., will be expanding and renovating its East branch from 2,400 square feet to 6,000 square feet. The project should be completed by August 2002. DEI, Inc. was selected as the design/build firm. Cinco Credit Union, Inc., Clifton, Ohio has selected design/build firm DEI, Inc, to renovate its headquarters. The renovation will include a new Remote Teller System. Co-op Services Credit Union, Livonia, Mich., has held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Westland branch. The new location offers members improved parking, drive-thru teller services and access to a 24-hour drive-up ATM. Baton Rouge Teachers Federal Credit Union, La., has opened its fifth location in the Baton Rouge area. Graydon Walker, Chairman of the Board and a founding member, and Norman Thompson, CEO, proudly cut the ribbon to officiate the first day of business. The new full- service facility includes such features as a drive-thru and an ATM. Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, Texas, has purchased 20 acres of land in Live Oak to serve as the future site of its Administrative Service Center. A special ceremony was held at the site to commemorate the land purchase for the relocation of the Administrative Service Center. Henry O. Edwards Jr., Live Oak Mayor, spoke at the event and endorsed the purchase as a positive opportunity for the city. Construction on the new Administrative Service Center is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2002. Tobyhanna Army Depot Federal Credit Union, Scranton, Pa., has held an open house to celebrate its latest East Stroudsburg branch. The guest list included the TADFCU board of directors and management staff; John Kebles, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Credit Union League; U.S. Representative Paul Kanjorski; East Stroudsburg Mayor Armand Martinelli and Stroudsburg Mayor Jonathan Mark. Activities at the open house included a clown to paint faces and create balloon sculptures; a fire prevention demonstration by the fire department; and free fingerprint/photo IDs for children by Swiftwater State Police. Designed by PWCampbell, the new 4,000 square-foot office houses two drive-up lanes, a drive-up ATM, up to five teller stations, including a handicap access teller line and private loan offices. Day Air Credit Union, Kettering, Ohio, has hosted a grand opening event. The three-day event featured such activities as lunch with Motorwerks, Day Air Credit Union's auto leasing partner and a live local radio station K99.1 broadcast and giveaway of almost 2,000 tickets to an upcoming country concert. Over the three-day period, 69 new accounts were opened. University of Virginia Community Credit Union, Charlottesville, has celebrated the completion of its new 4,430 square-foot branch. Located on Pantops mountain in Albemarle County the full-service branch features six teller lines, three drive-up teller lanes, and a drive-up ATM. River Valley Credit Union, Miamisburg, Ohio, has held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its West Carrollton branch. Designed by design/build firm DEI, the new Member Service Center features special Web Personal Branch areas for members to access their accounts and other information over the Internet; national financial news television coverage; and for younger members a Share Bear Club area. San Antonio Teachers Credit Union, Texas, has plans for a new headquarters. The new 50,000 sq. ft. facility is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2003. It has been designed with the help of McCleary German Associates and KDA Financial, Inc. The building will incorporate a Southwestern style design. People's Alliance Federal Credit Union, Hauppauge, N.Y., has held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Yonkers branch. With a presence in the area for the past seven years PAFCU's new location offers member more space, parking and better hours. Alaska USA Federal Credit Union,Anchorage, has opened its sixth branch in the Fairbanks North Star Borough. The full service branch will be open seven days and has an ATM area. Grand opening festivities included daily and weekly drawings for gift certificates to Fred Meyer, Regency Hotel, Riverboat Discovery, Regal Cinema, Quizno's, Mazda, and Team Cutter. Jeffco Schools Credit Union, Lakewood, Colo. has opened a full-service Financial Center at its headquarters. The new Financial Center houses CU Members Mortgage, Horace Mann Insurance, AutoTrek, HomeTrek, and Allmerica Investments, Inc. Members of JSCU are also offered special benefits through the business partners at the Financial Center. Members receive a 10% discount on auto insurance, rebates for home buying, and discounted, full-service home listing for sellers. Wescom Credit Union, Pasadena, Calif., has held a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating its new Simi Valley branch. During the festivities members each had a spin at the Wheel of Prizes and had an opportunity to meet the staff. Freedom Federal Credit Union, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., has broken ground on its latest facility. Included in the design of this building will be many teller and member service stations, three drive-thru windows and a drive-up ATM. Special guests at the ceremony included Dr. Barnes, Harford County Board of Education; Irene Padilla, Harford County Public Library; Mike Geppi, Harford County Councilman; and Bill Securro President of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce. The branch is due to open late in 2002. MAX Federal Credit Union, Prattville, Ala., has celebrated the grand opening of its Cobbs Ford Road branch. The full service branch offers four drive-in lanes, a drive-up automated teller machine and safe deposit boxes.</p>
