As interesting as stories in each weekly issue of this publication are, our talented editorial and production team has found still another way to make them even more informative. They now add colorful and fact-laden charts to the pages of Credit Union Times in each weekly issue to bring statistics in the stories to life. While the data illustrated is gathered from numerous sources (with full credit always given), the graphic presentation of that data is entirely original. It is an in-house product of the editorial staff working closely with production manager Mike Reinhardt, a creative genius when he sits down in front of his state-of-the-art design computer. Sometimes a chart supports a page one lead story, or a front-of-the-book news or feature story. Other times charts are used as stand-alone bits of interesting information. And on frequent occasions, an entire page of charts is put together to illustrate information that has a common thread, such as the latest credit union growth statistics by key categories. We've been told that this liberal use of eye-catching charts makes the overall layout of this publication more professional looking, more interesting, more pleasing to the eye, and is another reason why Credit Union Times is unique. While we appreciate the compliments, like everything else in the pages of Credit Union Times, the main reason for using more charts is to help us meet our number one goal of making our readers the best informed. -
