PASADENA, Calif. – Lucky members of the $1.8 billion Wescom CU may find their CU picking up the tab for some of their bills. Through June 30 the credit union is randomly selecting one bill a day of up to $1,000 that a member has scheduled to pay online using the CU's online bill pay solution. The CU will credit the member's account in the amount of the bill. So far, Wescom has paid $15,384 worth of its members' bills. Wescom launched its bill pay solution in March 2000. At press time, about 4,000 of its 170,000 members were signed up for the services. The CU allows members to try the service for free for 60 days. Wescom has also announced wireless banking services today through a partnership with Click Services. Wescom members can view balances and account history, make transfers, pay bills, and view current rates from any Web-enabled cell phone or personal digital assistant.
