Danola leaves Fiserv

BROOKFIELD, Wis. - Paul Danola, president of the Fiserv Credit Union Systems Division and the company's E-Products & Services Division, has resigned from the company. Danola, who had been heading both divisions since Greg Derkacht's resignation as head of Fiserv's credit union division earlier this year, was with the company since 1991. Tom Neil is the new head of the Fiserv credit union division. Derkacht was the president of Fiserv's credit union division for only a few months before leaving to join Sanchez's E-Profile subsidiary. Derkacht joined Fiserv after Fiserv acquired Envision Financial Technologies, the holding company for XP Systems and USERS, which Derkacht was CEO of. The Danola departure is one of many recent executive personnel moves in Fiserv's data processing credit union group. Other moves include the departure of XP Systems CEO Ed Harris, AFTECH CEO Bill Guiney, and USERS CEO Dave Schlenker. Another high-level Fiserv executive, Frank Martire, who was president of the Fiserv Bank & Credit Union Group, has also left the company. Fiserv has six credit union data processor subsidiaries. They are XP Systems, CUSA Technologies, USERS, SUMMIT, Galaxy and Aftech. -pgentile@cutimes.com
