Madison, Wis. - The World Council of Credit Unions has appointed Michael V. Beall People-to-People Program Coordinator. "World Council has found a candidate who brings a well developed network of credit union system contacts and international credit union development experience to WOCCU. Mike is uniquely qualified to help WOCCU's PTP program realize its full potential," said World Council CEO Arthur Arnold. In addition to serving as executive vice president of the North Carolina Credit Union League, Beall has been active internationally. Since developing the first exchange of credit union staff and volunteers between a U.S. and Polish credit union in 1992, Beall has been responsible for another exchange program between the U.S. and Australia and a Suriname-North Carolina partnership, in which he participated as a PTP volunteer. Beall will be headquartered in the WOCCU Washington, D.C. office. His goal will be to help the WOCCU and the PTP Program gain greater visibility within the U.S. credit union system, among donors and in the U.S. Congress. -mbourjolly@cutimes.com
