E-commerce needs insurance protection

LONDON and SAN FRANCISCO-The "Love Bug" and subsequent, more damaging viruses (CU Times, May 24) that have swept the world's computers is proof, says the insurance giant Lloyds of London here that e-commerce carries with its benefits some grave risks. In fact, e-commerce was identified as the single biggest insurance risk of the 21st century, according to a survey of U.S. insurance workers at a conference in San Francisco recently, with 70% of delegates naming it the biggest worry of Net business growth for the new economy. -
