SAN CARLOS - Benefit Consultants, a direct marketer of insurance, announced plans to move its operations from San Carlos to Nashville, Tenn.
BCI also plans to transfer its San Carlos call center to an expanded facility in Knoxville, Tenn.
"Since BCI became part of Cendant Corporation two years ago, our management team has been exploring ways to best utilize our resources, and those of our parent company, to serve our clients and their members better," said BCI CEO Ken Keith.
Keith said BCI will share facilities and resources in Nashville with another Cendant company that it has worked in close partnership with over the years.
