Michigan State Athletics and Michigan State University Federal Credit Union have entered into a 10-year jersey patch sponsorship agreement that will place the credit union's logo on the uniforms of all 23 Spartan men's and women's athletic teams.

The agreement marked the first jersey partnership in the Big Ten Conference to span all sports, according to Michigan State Athletics and MSUFCU.

Beginning with the 2026-27 athletic season, Michigan State athletes will wear an MSUFCU logo patch on game uniforms, while the credit union's branding will also appear on practice apparel. An MSUFCU logo will also be displayed on the bumper of Spartan football helmets.

MSUFCU, which was founded on the Michigan State campus in 1937 by university faculty and staff, serves more than 400,000 members nationwide.

"This historic announcement with MSUFCU only elevates an incredibly strong relationship with a longtime trusted partner," Jon Palumbo, MSU executive deputy athletics director/COO and Spartan Ventures CEO, said. "MSUFCU is woven into the fabric of the Michigan State community. This patch is a symbol of our rooted history and aligned strategic vision. It also amplifies the continued momentum of our department in the new landscape of college athletics. MSU Athletics and MSUFCU represent Spartans all across the country. We look forward to showcasing our partnership as our teams compete on the national stage."

The agreement expanded a longstanding relationship between the university and the East Lansing-based credit union. Existing partnerships include the MSUFCU Club at Spartan Stadium and the Women of Sparta program, which supports student-athletes through collaboration between MSUFCU, Michigan State Athletics and the community.

As part of the new agreement, MSUFCU will also help develop financial education programming for student-athletes.

April Clobes, MSUFCU's president/CEO, said the partnership builds on a relationship that dates back almost 90 years.

"MSUFCU and Michigan State University have delivered on these shared values through a variety of programs including robust financial education," Clobes said. "The MSUFCU logo integrated into every sport reflects our shared commitment to supporting student-athletes, alumni, faculty, staff and every Spartan. Together we are building on our longstanding partnership to create opportunities for Spartan student-athletes' success during their time at MSU and beyond."

MSUFCU has more than $8.9 billion in assets, 35 branches and more than 1,200 employees.
