What does innovation look like in the credit union industry today? According to CU Times, it looks like bold leadership, breakthrough technology, meaningful community impact and the people working every day to move the movement forward.
Now that the nominations are open for the 2026 Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards, CU Times' Natasha Chilingerian and Michael Ogden recorded a video to walk viewers through this year's expanded lineup of 35 award categories celebrating excellence across both credit unions and third-party organizations.
The 2026 program introduces several new and enhanced categories, including Branch Experience, expanded C-Suite leadership recognition, cryptocurrency and stablecoin innovation honors, and updated Consultant of the Year categories designed to reflect the rapidly evolving financial services landscape.
The video also previews some of the fun additions built into this year's nomination process ahead of the live gala experience.
Winners will be announced during the 2026 Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards Gala on Nov. 5, 2026, at the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa.
