The $1.8 billion, Edwardsville, Ill.-based Scott Credit Union (SCU) hired Michael Cannes as the organization's first chief risk officer. In his new role, he oversees the operations of the risk management department, providing high-level strategic counsel to the executive team. Cannes brings over 15 years of experience partnering with executives and boards to build enterprise risk programs, ensure regulatory compliance and align organizational strategy with disciplined risk management. His expertise spans enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, BSA/AML, fraud management, third-party risk and business continuity. Cannes most recently served as a consultant for SCU, where he worked closely with the risk and leadership teams to design and implement comprehensive enterprise risk management strategies. He holds an MBA from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. His professional credentials include certifications as a Financial Services Auditor through the Institute of Internal Auditors, as well as Credit Union Compliance Expert and Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert designations from America's Credit Unions.

The $8.3 billion, Cottage Grove, Wis.-based Summit Credit Union hired Mike McCoy as chief commercial officer. McCoy most recently spent seven years at Bank of America, where he most recently served as market executive, leading teams that supported clients with complex commercial and financial needs. In his new role, McCoy will lead Summit's commercial strategy, overseeing business banking, treasury management and commercial lending.

The $2.7 billion, Oak Ridge, Tenn.-based Y‑12 Credit Union announced one promotion and two new hires for its business services leadership team.

Brian Arterburn was promoted to executive director of business relations. In his new positions, Arterburn will play a key role in strengthening the credit union's support for commercial members across Kentucky. He will lead growth initiatives in lending, deposits, mortgages and membership while partnering closely with branch teams and community organizations. Most recently, Arterburn led commercial lending strategy for First State Bank of the Southeast, which was acquired by Y‑12 in July 2025.

Carrie Crawford was hired as director of commercial deposits and treasury services. Crawford brings deep expertise in commercial deposit solutions, and in her new role, she will collaborate across departments to strengthen treasury services, enhance branch support and develop video‑based education for commercial products.

Kendall Polk was hired as director of commercial development. In his new role, Polk will partner with commercial lenders across Tennessee to drive growth in commercial lending and deposits. He has spent much of his career serving business clients across the state's Sevier, Blount and Knox counties.

The $988 million, Austin-based Greater Texas Credit Union promoted Tina Muth to market president, leading strategic expansion and operations for the credit union's Aggieland Credit Union subsidiary in the Bryan-College Station, Texas market. Muth previously served as executive officer for Aggieland. In her new capacity, she will continue to bolster the credit union's role as the official credit union of Texas A&M University while overseeing four branches and all local community relations. Muth's career with the credit union began in 1993. She has held various leadership roles, including assistant vice president of market development and operations.

Tony Kitt, president/CEO for Plexcity, a shared services cooperative that provides back‑office solutions to credit union leagues, CUSOs, credit unions and small businesses, will retire at the end of 2026. Kitt has served as president/CEO since Plexcity's inception. His honors have included being featured in the Credit Union Museum's "Unsung Heroes" exhibit and being inducted into the African-American Credit Union Coalition Hall of Fame. Prior to joining the credit union movement, Kitt served 20 years as an officer in the United States Air Force in financial management staff and command roles. Plexcity has engaged Humanidei to lead a national search for its next President/CEO.
