The $7 billion, San Diego-based Mission Fed Credit Union appointed Tina Douglas to the Board of Directors following eight years of service on the Mission Fed Supervisory Committee. Douglas replaces Dr. Kamran Azimzadeh, who is retiring from the board after a combined 34 years of service. Douglas is a school business leader with over 36 years of K-12 education experience. She currently serves as the assistant superintendent of business services at the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District. Douglas previously served in similar roles for the San Dieguito Union, Santa Ana, Westminster, Ramona and Vista Unified school districts. She began her career at the San Diego County Office of Education, where she held a variety of finance and accounting roles. She has also held a variety of positions over the last 18 years for the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), including serving as state president. In addition, she is an instructor for the CASBO Business Executive Leadership Program and serves as a mentor to aspiring chief business officials throughout the state. She also served as a board member for the Voluntary Employees' Beneficiary Association (VEBA). Douglas earned her master of education in school business leadership from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where she also received her Chief Business Officials (CBO) certification. Douglas also participated in the Finance Directors and Small District Managers Academy Program at the San Diego County Office of Education, and has served as a mentor in the University of Southern California's school business management certificate program for the last seven years. Douglas will serve in an interim capacity on Mission Fed's board until May 2027.

The $2.9 billion, Springfield, Ore.-based SELCO Community Credit Union hired Francine Gardner as vice president, senior commercial loan officer for its Commercial & Business Banking division. Operating out of SELCO's Gateway branch in Springfield, Gardner will be tasked with developing new commercial and business banking relationships through business development and community engagement. She will also be responsible for the growth, management and credit quality of a complex commercial loan portfolio. Gardner brings 28 years of experience in the financial services industry, having begun her career as a personal banker at a national bank straight out of college. She has spent the entirety of her career in commercial banking, most recently as a senior commercial loan officer for eight years at a Pacific Northwest-based credit union.

The $1.8 billion, Capitola, Calif.-based Bay Federal Credit Union promoted Crystal Espinoza to assistant vice president, branch manager of the Salinas, Calif., Branch. In her new role, Espinoza will oversee branch operations, provide leadership and coaching to her team, and ensure an exceptional member experience through personalized financial guidance and community engagement. Espinoza has been with Bay Federal for nearly nine years, beginning her career as a member service representative. Shortly after joining the credit union, she completed several professional certifications and advanced into the role of service supervisor at the Capitola Branch. In 2023, she transitioned into a financial services officer position. Most recently, she served as the lead financial services officer at Bay Federal's Salinas Branch. In Spring 2025, Espinoza completed BayFedU, the credit union's internal leadership development program.

The $439 million, Dorchester, Mass.-based Boston Firefighters Credit Union hired Elizabeth Adcock as chief digital and information officer. Most recently, Adcock served as chief information officer at MAC Federal Credit Union ($173 million, Fairbanks, Alaska). She has held senior leadership roles within credit unions and financial services organizations, leading complex technology transformations, modernizing core systems and building high-performing teams aligned to strategic priorities. Her experience spans digital banking, enterprise systems, data governance and information security. She holds an executive MBA from Washington State University and a master of project management from The Pennsylvania State University. In her new role, she will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, translating complex technology into actionable strategies that drive growth, enhance efficiency and deepen member impact while preserving BFCU's mission of service.

The $282 million, Lewiston, Maine-based Maine Family Federal Credit Union hired Kaj Johansen as vice president of lending. With more than 25 years of credit union experience, Johansen brings an extensive background in lending operations, risk management and strategic leadership. In his new role, he will oversee consumer, mortgage and lending operations while working collaboratively with the leadership team to advance Maine Family's strategic goals. His responsibilities include supporting responsible loan growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening lending processes and developing high‑performing teams to enhance the overall member experience. Johansen holds an MBA from the Southern New Hampshire University and previously served in the United States Navy.

The $1.8 billion, Lansing, Mich.-based LAFCU announced two promotions.

BethAnn Bailey was promoted to branch manager from her previous role as assistant branch manager. She joined LAFCU in 2019 as a part-time teller at the Charlotte, Mich., branch and later advanced to a full-time senior member service representative role, serving briefly in Eaton Rapids, Mich., before returning to Charlotte. Over the past two years, Bailey served as assistant branch manager. In her new role, Bailey will oversee daily branch operations while leading team development, community engagement and an enhanced member experience. Before joining LAFCU, Bailey spent nearly a decade working in medical insurance billing and equipment services.

Diane Myall was promoted to assistant quality assurance manager after building a career at LAFCU spanning more than 23 years. She joined the credit union in 2002 as a part-time teller at the South Lansing Branch and went on to support multiple locations, including the Okemos, Mich., and Eaton Rapids branches, serving as a teller and senior member services representative. Myall later returned to the South Lansing Branch, where she advanced into leadership roles, including a promotion to head teller – a position she has held for the past 15 years. In her new role, Myall will help monitor and strengthen operational procedures across the credit union, ensuring consistency in policy adherence while supporting initiatives to improve efficiency and service delivery. Prior to joining LAFCU, Myall worked as a teller at a bank.
