Joe Keller

The Dakota Credit Union Association has named longtime credit union executive Joe Keller as its next president/CEO, effective May 11.

Keller brings more than 30 years of industry experience, most recently serving as vice president of membership and credit union solutions for the California, Nevada & Utah Credit Union Leagues. In that role, he led membership growth strategies, partnerships and operational initiatives aimed at helping credit unions navigate regulatory and competitive challenges.

DakCU Board Chair Lacey Fetsch said Keller's background in advocacy and collaboration made him a strong choice to lead the association, which represents 62 credit unions across North and South Dakota.

"Joe brings a deep understanding of advocacy and a proven ability to unite and elevate credit unions," Fetsch said.

Keller's career also included more than two decades in senior technology and operations roles at a corporate federal credit union, where he advised executive leadership on digital strategy and member service delivery.

"I'm honored to join the Dakota Credit Union Association," Keller said, adding he plans to build on the group's foundation and strengthen support for member institutions.

The appointment followed a national search process that began in October 2025 and included input from industry stakeholders and board leadership.
