The $9.3 billion, Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Star One Credit Union promoted Ryan Barringer to EVP of operations. Barringer has more than two decades of leadership experience in consumer and commercial banking, with expertise spanning financial marketing, customer experience and digital strategy. He joined Star One in 2023, serving as vice president of marketing before being promoted to EVP of operations. Before working at Star One, he held increasingly senior leadership roles throughout the financial industry, leading marketing, sales management and customer experience for community credit unions and regional commercial banks. Most recently, he was a senior director at Western Alliance Bank leading marketing for its Bridge Bank and Torrey Pines Bank west coast divisions. Before that, he was at CEFCU ($8.2 billion, Peoria, Ill.), leading its regional marketing and business development team. Barringer holds dual MBAs from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University in Ithica, N.Y., where he was awarded a fellowship in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute, and the Smith School of Business at Queen's University in Ontario, Canada. In his new role, Barringer helps Star One modernize and simplify how it interacts with its members. Under his leadership, the operations team has introduced a suite of new payment innovations and digital banking solutions with an emphasis on fraud mitigation.

The $7.1 billion, San Diego-based Mission Fed Credit Union promoted Bernadette Parker to COO. Parker began her career with Mission Fed as a teller at the La Mesa, Calif., Mission Fed branch in 2005, advancing within the organization through roles across branch and back-office operations. Most recently, she served as 1st vice president of operations. In her new role, Parker will oversee branch and operations support, card services, digital channels, electronic check processing and contact center operations, among other responsibilities. Parker is a board member of Women's Empowerment International, whose mission is to empower women with tools to work their way out of poverty, care for their families and strengthen their communities. She replaces Rob Miller, who retired after 13 years of service to Mission Fed.

The $326 million, Joplin, Mo.-based Great Plains Federal Credit Union hired Brad Schneider to serve as its new vice president of information technology. Schneider brings more than 20 years of IT leadership experience to his new position, having previously served as vice president of information security for Southwest Missouri Bank. He has also held various technology and security roles at G&A Partners and Leggett & Platt. Schneider earned his master of science in computer science from Trinity College and University in Los Angeles.

The $265 million, Bowling Green, Ky.-based Service One Credit Union promoted Matt Whalen to chief lending officer. In his new role, Whalen will continue to serve members by having executive oversight of the lending operations and support functions. He has over 25 years of banking experience, including his previous role as vice president of lending at Service One. He also holds professional designations, including Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP), as well as a credential in Business Law from Cornell University.

The $190 million, Duncan, Okla.-based Endurance Federal Credit Union recognized two outgoing board members for their commitment and dedication during its 66th Annual Meeting.

Ray Loghry was recognized for serving for 30 years and Teresa Young for 29 years. Both have held the position of chairman of the Board, with Loghry being the most recent.

Endurance honored their legacy by renaming the Community Room to the Ray Loghry Community Room and the Closing Room to the Teresa Young Closing Room.

The $4.3 billion, Atlanta-based Georgia's Own Credit Union hired Brad Johnson as commercial manager. Johnson brings more than two decades of experience in financial services. Over his 23 years with SunTrust and Chase, he held roles across multiple units, including wealth management, business and commercial banking. He most recently served as a senior commercial banker for First Carolina Bank.

Narmi, a New York, N.Y.-based provider of digital banking solutions for financial institutions, hired Fiaz Sindhu as SVP of strategy and operations. In his new role, Sindhu will oversee strategic planning, operational execution and cross-functional initiatives to support Narmi's continued growth and innovation. Sindhu brings extensive experience across banking technology, financial infrastructure and enterprise transformation. Most recently, he led the Community and Credit Union Banking core processing segment at FIS, overseeing large-scale core banking platforms and regulated financial infrastructure serving banks and credit unions nationwide. Prior to FIS, Sindhu was a consultant at Accenture, where he built and integrated large-scale, regulated technology platforms for global financial institutions.
