Century Federal Credit Union was named the official credit union of the Cleveland Guardians, thanks to a multi-year partnership that joined together the two Cleveland institutions.

The Cleveland-based Century Federal, which was founded in 1948, has 25,000 members throughout Northeast Ohio and approximately $469 million in assets. The credit union leaders said partnering with the Cleveland Guardians marks an important milestone for Century Federal.

"As a credit union founded and grown right here in Cleveland, this partnership means a great deal to all of us at Century Federal," Dave Wilde, president/CEO of Century Federal Credit Union, said. "The Guardians embody the pride, perseverance and community spirit that define our city."
Wilde said being named the Official Credit Union of the Cleveland Guardians is not just a sponsorship, but a shared commitment to supporting the people and neighborhoods that make Cleveland home and helping them "Bank Boldly. Live Fully," which is Century Federal's tagline.

"Century Federal Credit Union has deep roots in Cleveland and shares our commitment to supporting the people and neighborhoods that make this city special," Tim Salcer, SVP of sales and service for the Cleveland Guardians, said. "This partnership reflects our shared belief that when Cleveland succeeds, we all do it together as a team – both on and off the field."

Through this partnership, Century Federal and the Cleveland Guardians said they plan to collaborate on initiatives designed to give back to the community and promote financial wellness for fans throughout the region. Planned efforts include community engagement education, such as financial literacy programs and workshops, and exclusive member experiences, such as special game-day experiences and ticket opportunities. It also includes an in-park presence for Century Federal, with the credit union's branding and member-focused activations present at Progressive Field.

"Century Federal has always believed that when our members and our communities thrive, we all win," Wilde said. He said that partnering with the Guardians allows the credit union to extend that impact and reach more families.

In 2026, Century Federal said it plans to add five new branches, in the hopes of providing greater convenience and access to financial services for members across the greater Cleveland area.
