Michael Massey

Fort Worth Community Credit Union has named Michael Massey, formerly of the Houston-based TDECU ($5 billion), as its next president/CEO. Massey will assume his new role on April 6.

"I am deeply honored to serve as president and chief executive officer of Fort Worth Community Credit Union," Massey said. "I have tremendous respect for the board's stewardship and vision for the future of the organization. Together with the credit union's talented leadership team and employees, I look forward to building on the credit union's strong legacy, advancing new opportunities to serve our members, and deepening our impact throughout the communities we serve."

Jude Kiah, director of Forst Worth Community and chair of the CEO search committee, added, "Fort Worth Community Credit Union needed a dynamic and visionary leader that will guide and promote our growth. Michael is clearly that leader and we are very excited for him to join us on this journey to be the best financial services option for our members."

Cornerstone Resources' executive search and professional recruiting division conducted the search.

"We were able to attract quality candidates from coast to coast, and this truly was a national search," Cornerstone Resources Executive Search Vice President Marcus Cotton said. "Through our intense efforts, thorough vetting and the board's careful evaluation, Michael Massey rose to the top. We congratulate Michael Massey and we are excited for Fort Worth Community Credit Union and what is in store for their future."

Fort Worth Community, originally Fort Worth Federal Employees Federal Credit Union, was established in 1940 to serve government employees in Fort Worth, Texas. In 2001, the credit union changed its name to Fort Worth Community Credit Union and transitioned from a federal to a state charter, expanding membership eligibility to anyone who lives, works or attends school in Tarrant, Denton, Parker and Johnson County. Today, the credit union has 75,000 members and $1.3 billion in assets.

Cornerstone Resources provides solutions such as executive search and professional recruiting, audit and consulting, and information security, compliance and consulting services to credit unions.
