Bay Federal Credit Union in Capitola, Calif., is partnering with Monterey Bay Football Club for the 2026 season, adding to its community outreach through sponsorship and branding at Cardinale Stadium.

The agreement includes signage, gate branding and sponsorship of the club's "Man of the Match" recognition, which highlights standout player performances throughout the season.

"Monterey Bay Football Club was created with the vision of giving this region a team to call its own and creating a hub for the community," Carrie Birkhofer, president/CEO of Bay Federal, said. "As a member-owned credit union built on similar principles, we understand the importance of local roots and community pride. We are proud to be a supporter and look forward to being part of this next chapter for the Monterey Bay region."

Club officials said the agreement is also intended to support fan engagement and community connections.

Bay Federal was founded in 1957 by local schoolteachers pooling their resources. It currently has more than $1.8 billion in assets and serves California's Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito counties.

Monterey Bay Football Club joined the USL Championship in 2022 and plays at Cardinale Stadium on the campus of California State University, Monterey Bay. The club recently invested in upgrades to the venue, which has a capacity of 6,000.
