Jen Schultz

The $4.1 billion, Spokane Valley, Wash.-based Numerica Credit Union hired Jen Schulz as vice president of business solutions and execution. In her new role, Schulz will lead efforts that strengthen the connection between people, processes and technology, ensuring Numerica continues to deliver exceptional value to its members and communities. She will partner closely with Numerica’s chief technology officer to foster collaboration across departments and guide projects that make banking easier, more accessible and more impactful for members. She will also help ensure technology and operations work hand in hand to advance Numerica’s mission of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams and building communities. Schulz brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, having previously served as assistant vice president and director of strategic initiatives at Umpqua Bank. She is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington and is a certified change practitioner. 

MIDWEST

The $1.1 billion, Lansing, Mich.-based LAFCU announced two promotions and one new hire.

Kellie Swiger was promoted to head of creative from her previous role as creative director. She was previously elevated from marketing specialist to creative director in 2019. In her new role, Swiger leads the creative team and oversees innovative concepts across multiple platforms. She also manages the development of creative projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals while maintaining high brand standards. Swiger joined LAFCU 16 years ago after holding graphic design and creative roles at several companies. She began her career at Beyond Interactive in Ann Arbor in 1999 before serving as a web designer at Source One Solutions Inc., working as an independent consultant and later joining Agate Software, Inc. in Okemos as a graphic designer. She completed the Creative Director Bootcamp Program through Miami Ad School and the Creative Placemaking Program from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Tanya Griffin was promoted to community financial education and executive assistant from her previous role as senior member service representative. In her new dual role, she supports LAFCU’s financial literacy programs and community outreach initiatives, while also providing executive administrative support to the CEO of the StableCommunities Foundation. Griffin has 24 years of financial services experience. Before joining LAFCU in 2017, she served as an executive assistant at the Lansing Church of God in Christ, and held supervisory and customer service roles at Standard Federal Bank in Detroit, which is now part of Bank of America.

Ally Hall was hired as digital and graphic designer. In their new role, Hall creates visual concepts, videos and storytelling assets that support membership growth, product adoption and brand awareness. Their expertise includes developing 2-D and 3-D imagery, producing educational and community-focused videos, and running A/B testing to optimize campaign engagement. Hall previously worked as a graphic designer for Walton Insurance Agency and as lead graphic designer at Optic Edge Digital Signs, both in Jackson, Mich.

Abdul Hussain

The $8.8 billion, Atlanta-based Delta Community Credit Union promoted Abdul Hussain to chief risk officer. He succeeds Bill Buchanan, who served as the credit union’s chief risk officer from March 2012 until he retired in December 2025. Hussain joined Delta Community in 2016 and most recently served as vice president of information security and chief information security officer (CISO). He will retain his CISO designation while serving as CRO. Hussain has more than 20 years of experience in information security and risk management in financial services. He holds an MBA in technology management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and professional certifications in information security and risk management.

The National Credit Union Foundation and the $1.4 billion, Bannockburn, Ill.-based Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) announced five board appointments.

Steve Bugg, president/CEO for GLCU, was elected to the Foundation Board. His appointment follows a year of active service on the Foundation’s fundraising committee.
