BECU in Tukwila, Wash., is donating $450,000 to nonprofit organizations as part of its annual People Helping People Awards initiative.

Since the program began in 2013, the People Helping People Awards have provided more than $5 million to nonprofit organizations.

“As dedicated volunteers, advocates and supporters, our members deeply understand the needs of their communities,” Beverly Anderson, BECU's president/CEO, said. “With those needs only continuing to grow, the work of our nonprofit partners is even more important.”

The donations will support the Kicheko Project as it builds inclusive futures by connecting culture, education and innovation; InvestED’s efforts to provide students with immediate access to essentials; Washington Association of Child Advocate Programs, Refugee & Immigrant Connections Spokane; and others.

With more than 1.5 million members and $28.9 billion in assets, BECU currently operates more than 60 financial centers.

Nusenda Foundation

The Nusenda Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Nusenda Credit Union in Albuquerque, N.M., is distributing $1 million in Community Rewards grants to 108 nonprofit organizations dedicated to creating positive change across New Mexico and West Texas.

Since its inception in 2015, the Nusenda Foundation has invested more than $5.4 million in communities to more than 800 nonprofit organizations that address critical needs and foster opportunities for growth in their communities.

“Celebrating 10 years of the Nusenda Foundation and reaching $1 million in Community Rewards grants is a proud moment for all of us,” Sara Keller, chief community engagement officer at Nusenda and executive director of the Nusenda Foundation, said.

Under the Community Rewards program, members who make 10 or more signature-based transactions each month using their Nusenda Visa debit cards earn cash back while also contributing to the grant program.

Members can direct their contributions geographically and choose to support one of five focus areas: Education, health care, environment and wildlife, the arts and community service.

The $4.8 billion Nusenda has more than 900 employees serving more than 280,000 members.

Robins Financial Credit Union

Robins Financial Credit Union in Warner Robins, Ga., donated $1 million to local nonprofits and initiatives throughout 2025.

“Our mission has always gone beyond financial services; it’s about investing in people and strengthening the communities we serve,” Christina O’Brien, president/CEO of Robins Financial, said.

“Reaching this milestone in community giving reflects the passion of our employees, the support of our members, and our shared belief that when our communities thrive, we all succeed.”

Throughout 2025, Robins Financial’s community impact efforts supported education, health care and essential services across Georgia. These included graduating high school seniors, the local children’s hospital, local nonprofits and 30 local educators.

Robins Financial was chartered in 1954 by a group of 13 Robins Air Force Base civilian and military personnel. Now, the credit union has more than $4.7 billion in assets and serves more than 274,000 members.
