The $7.9 billion, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based Hudson Valley Credit Union announced five new hires and four promotions.

Jonathan Connellan was hired as SVP, senior director of Total Rewards. In his new role, Connellan leads the design and execution of compensation, benefits and recognition programs across the enterprise. In addition, he ensures the Total Rewards strategy supports HVCU’s mission to attract, retain and motivate top talent while maintaining compliance with banking regulations and risk management standards. Connellan most recently served as vice president, senior compensation manager at Liberty Bank, where he was responsible for leading the design, implementation and governance of its compensation programs.

Laura Becker was hired as vice president, director of human resources operations and information systems. In her new role, she leads the strategic and operational delivery of HR services and systems. Alongside this, Becker ensures efficient and scalable HR operations while driving digital transformation through Human Resources Information System (HRIS) platforms. Becker most recently served as director, HR operations and reporting at Webster Bank, where she was responsible for leading the HR operations team, overseeing onboarding processes and managing full lifecycle of HR system and operations projects.

Ashley Brylowski was promoted to vice president, compliance and legal operations. In her new role, she drives the operational effectiveness, strategic execution and technology enablement of the organization’s compliance and legal functions. Alongside this, Brylowski bridges regulatory compliance, legal process management, systems optimization, policy governance and vendor oversight to ensure operational excellence, proactive risk mitigation and regulatory adherence.

Michael Dinizo was hired as vice president, director of small business lending operations. In his new role, Dinizo leads small business lending operations, which include loans under $500,000 and all Small Business Administration (SBA) loan volume. In addition, he engages in strategic planning and execution of business plans to achieve loan volume, quality and growth objectives. Dinizo most recently served as commercial middle market banker/team leader at Peapack Private Bank & Trust, where he was responsible for leading and mentoring a team of market bankers, driving portfolio growth to $600 million and managing a diverse book of 35 middle market clients to deliver tailored financial solutions.

Fifi Gigliotti Pryor was hired as Malta Branch Manager in Malta, N.Y. In her new role, Pryor oversees operations to drive membership acquisitions by strengthening member relations. Additionally, she provides consistent development to staff, setting clear goals, objectives and expectations for the branch. Pryor most recently served as branch manager at Citizens Bank, where she was responsible for cultivating a customer-centric culture and leading a collaborative team environment to enhance both colleague and customer experiences.

Ashley Neff was promoted to Latham Branch Manager in Latham, N.Y. In her new role, she oversees operations to drive membership acquisitions by strengthening member relations. Amy Samerson was promoted to Guilderland Branch Manager in Albany, N.Y. In her new role, Samerson oversees operations to drive membership acquisitions by strengthening member relations. Additionally, she provides consistent development to staff, setting clear goals, objectives and expectations for the branch. Samerson is a graduate of the Leadership Orange Signature Program – Class of 2025.

Lara Doerflinger was promoted to Marist Learning Experience Leader. In her new role, Doerflinger fosters employee engagement and development through training and coaching to inspire actions that ensure the delivery of an exceptional member experience. Alongside this, she maintains operational integrity of the branch and leads the team to effectively execute the HVCU sales and service model to meet branch goals.

Helmut Gerstenberger was hired as a mortgage loan originator. In his new role, he presents and sells specific mortgage loan programs to members and potential members that are appropriate for their individual financial circumstances. Alongside this, Gerstenberger develops new business opportunities through networking and meets or exceeds established member service levels, loan quality and loan production goals.
