Brad Davis will become president/CEO of Centra Credit Union in Columbus, Ind. In January, the credit union announced last week.

He will succeed Centra’s current President/CEO Rick Silvers who will retire on Jan. 9.

Silver joined the credit union in 2016. During his CEO tenure, the Centra grew assets from $1.3 billion to $2.2 billion, while loans increased from $862 million to $1.6 billion, and membership expanded from 135,000 to more than 152,000, according to NCUA Call Reports.

Silver’s accomplishments and contributions to the credit union movement were recognized by the Indiana Credit Union League in October. He received the prestigiousProfessional Achievement Award during the Gala & Awards Celebration, a special event held during the league’s annual convention.

“It has been a great honor to be the president and CEO of Centra Credit Union, and I am beyond grateful to have been part of Centra’s 85-year legacy,” Silver said. “Brad’s broad experience and strong leadership qualifications will serve Centra and its stakeholders well. I will be excited to see how Brad and the Centra team continue to move Centra forward and the ways in which they create even more value for our members, team members, and communities.”

Davis holds more than 33 years of banking experience. From MainSource Bank in Columbus Ind., where he worked asvice president of credit administration, Davisjoined Centra CU in 2011 as chief credit officer and was named chief growth officer in 2022.
