The $628 million, Lacey, Wash.-based O Bee Credit Union hired Sharon Ortiz as vice president of people and culture. Ortiz brings over 10 years of industry experience, having previously served in various roles of progressive responsibility for NE PA Credit Union, which recently merged with UECU ($1.4 billion, Wyomissing, Pa.), for a decade. In her role as SVP, she oversaw NE PA’s lending, member services, teller and HR departments. Ortiz also previously served as assistant vice president – credit union engagement and outreach for the GoWest Credit Union Association. Ortiz earned a master of science in management and leadership in organizational behavior from East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pa.

The $1.7 billion, Capitola, Calif.-based Bay Federal Credit Union rehired Ray Diep onto its team as assistant vice president of finance. Diep rejoined the organization after a three-year tenure at another financial institution. He originally began his career at Bay Federal in 2011 and held several positions during his tenure through 2022, including finance manager and treasury manager. In his new role, he will oversee financial operations and strategy with a focus on long-term sustainability and community impact.
Jessica Redman, vice president and cash management officer for the $2.8 billion, Springfield, Ore.-based SELCO Community Credit Union’s Commercial & Business Banking division, was named one of five finalists for the Eugene Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Women Business Leader Award. The award recognizes women who have demonstrated leadership, innovation and commitment to the local business community, and Redman was nominated as part of the Eugene Chamber’s Women Business Leaders Program.

Redman has worked at SELCO since 2012 and earned recognition in 2023 with a 20 Under 40 award, presented annually to 20 rising business stars in the Eugene-Springfield community. At SELCO, she is responsible for managing the cash management team while spearheading the credit union’s efforts to expand its member base through targeted sales and marketing initiatives. Redman transitioned to SELCO’s Commercial & Business Banking division in 2015. In 2022, she was named vice president, cash management officer of the division and was promoted again in 2023 to team leader. Redman serves on the Leadership Eugene-Springfield Steering Committee and is the college director for District XIV of Kappa Alpha Theta.
MIDWEST
The $335 million, Chicago-based First Northern Credit Union announced three new hires and two promotions.
Ashlon Goodman was hired as branch financial sales and service manager for the Evanston branch in Evanston, Ill. Goodman previously spent nearly four years with Michigan First Credit Union ($1.5 billion, Lathrup Village, Mich.) as well as a year with Bank of America. In her new role, her responsibilities include managing sales and service for staff at the Evanston office, as well as representing the credit union at various Evanston-area events and with local business partners.

Yadi Vargas was re-hired by First Northern as business development manager. Vargas brings more than 13 years of experience in the financial services industry, having most recently served as a branch manager at Corporate America Family Credit Union ($836 million, Elgin, Ill.). Prior to that, she was with First Northern for more than seven years as a branch financial sales and service manager.

Chris Gould was hired as senior business development representative. Gould brings decades of experience in sales and service, having most recently worked alongside Vargas at Corporate America Family as a business development officer. In their new roles, Vargas and Gould are responsible for developing, growing and enhancing the credit union’s community and employer group relationships with businesses like ComEd, Exelon, Constellation, Northwestern Medicine and Northwestern University. They will also represent the credit union at various events across northern Illinois.

Mandy Clayburg was promoted to director of financial services for the credit union. In her new role, she will oversee branch operations for the credit union’s locations in Rockford, Ill., Evanston and Chicago. Clayburg has been with the credit union for more than 21 years. She previously served as sales and integration manager followed by branch financial sales and service manager at the Rockford branch, where she will continue to be based.

Jonathon Lewis was promoted to branch financial sales and service manager for the Rockford branch. In his new role, Lewis’s responsibilities include managing sales and service for staff at the location. Lewis has worked for the credit union for more than 13 years and previously served as branch financial sales and service supervisor.

The $1.4 billion, Flint, Mich.-based Financial Plus Credit Union hired Ryan Carley as SVP of retail delivery. In his new role, Carley will oversee the credit union’s retail branch operations and member service strategies to ensure a seamless experience across every touchpoint. He will also play a pivotal role in advancing Financial Plus’s aggressive future growth plan. Carley brings over 25 years of experience in retail banking, strategic sales and operations across multiple markets. He also previously held leadership roles with the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Bay County, Bay Sail and Bay Area Soccer Association. Carley was previously recognized with a RUBY Award for his leadership and volunteerism.

The $1.2 billion, Austin, Texas-based Amplify Credit Union announced one promotion and one new hire.
JC San Pedro was promoted to SVP of mortgage banking and loan administration. In his new role, San Pedro will oversee mortgage banking and loan administration, consolidating the two functions into a single department to streamline operations and improve service delivery. He has 28 years of experience across multiple roles in mortgage banking, including loan origination, secondary marketing, auditing and portfolio management.
