Rose Conner, who has served as acting administrator of the North Carolina Credit Union Division for the past 17 months, has taken the permanent reins as state regulator, according to NASCUS.
Conner, an active member of NASCUS, is known for helping NCCUD and NCUA reach an agreement to end dual exams for North Carolina's state chartered cooperatives.
She stepped in as acting state regulator last year after former administrator Jerrie Jay retired following controversy regarding her approval of a test pilot program that allowed the $25 billion State Employees' Credit Union to make public its state CAMEL score.
When Conner took over NCCUD, she pledged not to release any state-issued CAMEL codes.
