The $1.8 billion California Coast Credit Union in San Diego plans to help meet FFIEC and NCUA compliance rules by deploying a new network access control solution from StillSecure of Superior, Colo.
The Colorado company's Safe Access solution will be used to automate the process of monitoring access to the 121,000-member credit union's IT infrastructure, the company and credit union said, helping to ensure compliance with network safety regulations and improve IT efficiency while identifying potential security weaknesses and threats.
“We have not only decreased our IT costs but increased the company's overall IT efficiency by fully automating our network monitoring process. Today, monitoring can be done by one person, which frees the rest of our IT department up to work on future projects,” said Jonathan Danucalov, network engineer at California Coast.
StillSecure declined to say how many credit unions it serves. The company said its client list includes numerous commercial customers and the Department of Defense.
